In
his enthusiasm for a different "angle",
a press photographer climbed the roof
of a compartment at Aligarh station
when Rajiv Gandhi travelled by IInd
class with hundreds of Congress workers.
Unfortunately, the lensman touched a
high tension wire and was thrown on
the platform by the electric shock.
When Rajiv was told of the accident,
he had the photographer admitted to
a hospital immediately. Rajiv was immensely
grieved when the photographer subsequently
died.
