POOR MAN'S LIGHT
On the dark and lonely Rai-Bareli-Amethi road, Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi's small convoy rolled on. Suddenly Rajiv asked the driver to stop as he saw an old man standing on the road, waving a lantern. The old man told the PSO that he was waiting for his "dear Rajiv Gandhi", who had taken up a great responsibility on his shoulders for the poor of the lands who constituted 80% of India's population. Rajiv Gandhi stepped out of his car with folded hands, while the poor old peasant blessed him with his hand on his head and touched his cheeks. He said he did not want any thing more, and moved away towards his village, his mission accomplished!
