On the morning of his death, Rajiv Gandhi was in a remote corner of Orissa addressing the constituency of tribal leader and Congress candidate Girdhar Gomango, who is small in height.Suddenly Rajiv announced that Mr.Gomango would address first, even when the mike was fitted higher for Rajiv. Rajiv just picked up Gomango to the level of the mike and then addressed the gathering to vote for Gomango!"I won, because of the affection shown to me by my beloved leader", says Gomango.
