Rajiv Gandhi used to fly aircraft for
Indian Airlines during the Janata rule.
Some Janata Party leaders with their
supporters boarded his aircraft at Bhopal
without proper security check and Rajiv
refused to take off. The Janata leaders
argued and even threated him, but he
did not relent. Finally they had to
give in and go back for security checks.
