his way back to Delhi, Rajiv Gandhi
suddenly remembered about the 'mazaar'
of Sufi saint at Kaliyar Sarai, asked
the local police chief about its location
and then went on to lay a floral 'chaddar'
on the tomb. With him was Congress leader
Mahavir Prasad. Reverence and secularism
was in Rajiv's blood.
