Rajiv
had gone to Meerut, where communal riots
had taken place, to console the victims
alongwith his colleague and other Congress
workers. But on his way back, a
convoy
of cars loaded with his supporters insisted
on following him. In a brainwave, Rajiv
and Azad collected the car keys from
all these people, and had them sent
back to Meerut only after reaching the
Delhi border.
